Kick It To Malaria in Chicago
--- August 2010 Edition ---
A Malaria No More Awareness and Fundraising Event
Malaria kills 3,000 children a day and takes nearly 1 million lives every year in Africa. It is a preventable and treatable disease, however, poverty often impedes access to treatment and bed nets for prevention.
Join us at Clark Park in Chicago on Saturday, August 14th from 11am-1pm to play a game of soccer. You will also learn about malaria and what can be done to help.
The event is free, however participants are asked to consider making a donation of at least $10 (the price of a malaria bed net).
- Games will be non-competitive and we will divide into teams that day. Please bring a black and a white t-shirt.
- Take along your friends and families to enjoy a day in the park. Spectators are asked to bring their own seats for their comfort.
