I am president of CORA, Chatham County's largest Food Pantry. I am passionate in my believe that it is our obligation as citizens of this country to assure that the most basic need, namely food, of all our neighbors is met.

CORA has provided a record 14,500 individuals with emergency food during its most recent fiscal year 2008/09. And this number is likely to increase to 16,000 during our current fiscal period. It breaks my heart to know that 50% of those served are children who by no fault of their own live at or below the federal poverty line.

I need your help to meet my  fundraising goal of $3.000 (enough to feed a family of 4 for 45 weeks).  Please sponsor me now with any amount you can spare ..... no amount is too small.
