Thank you for visiting Val's Team Fundraising Page!  

We will be taking part in the Eleventh Annual "Run for Someone Else's Life" 5K Run/Walk in Brighton, MA on October 3, 2009.  This event raises money for the Samaritans organization.  The Samaritans offer a 24-hour Befriending hotline for those in need along with outreach to at-risk groups and support services for those affected by suicide.  This year the hotline answered 118,000 calls!

Your generous donation will support our runners/walkers and will help this amazing charity continue serving those in need.  We really appreciate your support!

Note from the Team Leader (Val):  I've been volunteering on the hotline since March 2008 and it has been a truly amazing experience.  I can tell you first hand that the work the Samaritans organization does and the services they provide truly affect people's lives in a positive way.  I believe whole-heartedly in the mission of the Samaritans and am very grateful for the opportunity to bring their cause to the attention of our amazing runners/walkers and generous donors!
