I have recently become a fan of running and I am enjoying running with Kim and my boys.  I will be running in the Chicago Marathon for the Lupus Foundation.

The Lupus foundation has special meaning to me for two reasons.  My brother in law Dave has been dealing with Lupus most of his adult life. Recently Dave underwent a kidney transplant at the Mayo Clinic.  I have witnessed the toll this disease has had on him, his body and his family.

My cousin Stacy was recently diagnosed with Lupus, also.  Stacy has a wonderful faith and tremendous tenacity.  I would love to have the Lupus foundation find more ways to help her with this burden. 

These two people are special to me and it is for them I am running this marathon.
