Dear Friends,
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
Less than a year ago, I never thought getting a hot, nutritious meal for my mother would be such a relief. She was always such a vibrant and on-the-go person. Then, suddenly, without warning , things changed drastically. I was a mom, a daughter, a sister who was seeking help. Our family (my sister was the primary caregiver) was needing all types of services, especially meals.
We had heard about WCCS, Inc. in Lebanon, Ohio. They had a Meals on Wheels program. WCCS is a private, non-proft organization devoted to servicing the homebound elderly of Warren Count with one hot, nutrious home-delivered meal each weekday, while ensuring their individual well-being. The program and the people were a blessing! And to top it off, the Meals are delicious.
That is why I am writing you today. During the month of March, WCCS is participating in the "March for Meals" Campaign. It is an annual campaign to raise awareness about the Meals on Wheels program right here in Warren County.
Last year, WCCS supplied nearly 225,000 meals. That is nearly 600 meals served each day of the week. And the miles driven totalled more than 175,000 which included going throughout all of Warren County - from Morrow to Mason to Springboro to Franklin to Waynesville. So, you can imagine, the constant need for maintenance and new vehicles.
Please give your support today. Your gift will have an immediate, positive impact on the elderly men and women that WCCS serves.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
Making it a great day!

P.S. Here's some info about the WCCS Meals on Wheels Program delivers fresh, nutrionally balanced meals directly to the home of those unable to cook or shop for themselves. Most are homebound elderly. These meals not only provide nutrition, but more than often, a safety net. Most have will not see anyone else until the next 24 hours. Our Meals on Wheels drivers deliver meals and check on the well-being of our elderly and frail clients.
P.P.S. Please take a few moments to view the video "Seniors and Hunger". It is really an eye-opener.
