On September 19th, we're participating in the 2009 Illinois Waddle. This event is held every year in Dwight, Illinois, as a benefit for the Guardian Angel Basset Rescue, Inc. Each year GABR rescues and places over 250 Basset Hounds in the Indiana and Illinois area. As you can imagine, the vet bills are very large, averaging over $10,000 per month.  Abby, Stella, and I will be walking to help raise money to pay those bills.

You might be interested to know that in addition to helping basset hounds, GABR helps other small charities raise money.  This year over 40 charities, some animal related, many others not, will be raising money by participating in GABR’s Corvette Raffle.
