Hello, this is Rosco and Layla!  We have learned how to type and are using it to do what bassets do best: beg firmly!  We will be attending the 13th annual Basset Hound Waddle hosted by the Guardian Angel Basset Rescue (GABR) organization (see their website at http://www.bassetrescue.org/).  GABR has rescued and found homes for thousands of dogs and is a very important non-profit organization, and we are raising funds for their cause.  This is probably the most important social event of our time, and we can't wait to go!  There are loads of great prizes that we can win depending on how much money we raise (see the complete list at http://www.bassetrescue.org/prizelist.html  - check out that corvette especially!).  There will also be a basset parade, where hundreds of delusional basset hound owners attempt to move hundreds of dogs through the streets of Dwight, IL in an orderly fashion.  Sounds like optimism to us!  There is also the Great American Basset Race, where ears and jowls flap in the wind like flags on a pole!  More fun than anyone should be allowed to have legally!

So, won't you please help us reach our goal of $500 US dollars?  If you do and we win the corvette we will happily come to your house and let you do donuts in your yard!  Possibly while rubbing our bellies!  Wouldn't that be great?

On September 18-19, 2010, Guardian Angel Basset Rescue is holding their 13th Annual Waddle. The Illinois Waddle is a weekend long celebration of the breed attended annually by over 1,000 bassets and their families. It is Guardian Angel’s primary source of funding.  There will be lots of photos and videos taken of the event, and any help you can give to this cause would be appreciated.
