Dear Family and Friends,
On Monday, April 18th, I will be running in the Boston Marathon. This 26.2 mile course will take me from Hopkinton all the way into downtown Boston, as I run for Team Boomer. As some of you may know, I am currently living with Gunnar Esiason as we both attend Boston College. Although I have only known Gunnar for less than two years, we have become very close and he is a dear friend to me.
Gunnar was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a disease that affects the lungs, when he was only 2 years old. My goal is to raise 15,000 dollars to support the Boomer Esiason Foundation and any donation no matter how large or small will make a difference. I have been training for over 3 months and every bit of encouragement would be greatly appreciated, whether it be making a donation or cheering me on during the marathon (trust me I’m going to need it).
Many thanks for your support and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might be interested in donating.
I would like to thank everyone who has donated so far, the support has been absolutely overwhelming and truly inspiring. I have reached my goal of 15,000 and I am thrilled that donations continue to come it. Thank you so much to everyone who has already donated, It means a lot to me and Gunnar and it certainly helped motivate me during the marathon. I finished well within my goal of simply finishing, at a time of 4 hours and 27 minutes. Thanks to everyone who cheered me on during the race and those who donated, I never would have been able to finish without you!
Best,
Vincent Love
