Well, what would life be like without our pets? Our delightful dog, Miss Zia, came to us as a rescue and so did our big, bold, beautiful orange cat, Vladimir Disputin (affectionately known as Bad Vlad!). I am grateful for organizations like the Humane Society of Greenwood (HSOG) and their staff because they give us all an opportunity to love and be loved by an animal. Both my dog and my cat would probably not be alive had it not been for rescue organizations like HSOG.
Of course it costs a lot of money to feed and house and care for the homeless creatures that shelter atthe HSOG, so every year they sponser The Heart and Sole Dog Walk. It's at the local YMCA grounds on Saturday, October 2nd starting at about 11 AM. I hope YOU and your dogs and the rest of your family will come out and participate in this fun event. Get out there and walk - enjoy the great fall weather and help our cause! There will be live entertainment, kids crafts and food to eat. But best of all: you will be helping the HSOG by supporting their efforts.
In fact, you can start right now. Take a few moments and make a donation to HSOG. Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.I sure would like to make my goal of $100!
I am grateful for your support. Please take a few moments more and forward this link to your friends and family who support the great work that Karen Pettay and the HSOG board and staff are so committed to!
Life is good - but people like YOU make it so much better! <3
