Thank you for visiting our family's fundraising page.  Our Dad believed strongly in immunotherapy cancer vaccines, where cancer victims obtain customized medicine that allows their bodies to fight cancer.  He received such a vaccine when his cancer was in early stages 10 years ago and showed promising results.  Unfortunately, he could not continue the treatment because the FDA took a decade to make that form of vaccine available to prostate cancer victims.  By the time the vaccine that helped our Dad was approved, his cancer was too advanced to respond to treatment.  He believed, as do we, that immunotherapy cancer vaccines will open new doors in cancer treatment and liberate cancer patients from chemotherapy, which contributed to the downturn in our father's health in late 2010.
