Our mission is to enlighten, encourage an empower women about issues related to breast cancer in efforts to reduce the mortality rate through early detection; and to offer spiritual and emotional support to women and their significant others.

Although WOFAH's programs are open to all, we target the low-income African American female population, which suffers from a high mortality rate from breast cancer.  Our programs include: monthly informational support meetings for at-risk women and their families and treatment options, community outreach fairs, conferences and events to educate the community about early diagnosis and breast health issues, and a training program to certify women as breast self-exam instructors.
