New York Romp for Research
6th ANNUAL ROMP FOR RESEARCH
Dear Friends and Supporters of the Romp For Research /Down Syndrome Cognition Research:
The Romp For Research is an outdoor party where we celebrate the talents and passions of people with Down syndrome as well as, frankly, all people. We also strive to raise funding for important research initiatives aimed at improving cognition, memory and learning in people with Down syndrome so that they can more fully participate in society. For a description of the research that DSRTF is funding please visit www.dsrtf.org.
The 2011 Romp For Research will again be held at Asphalt Green in NYC (555 East 90th Street – between York & East End Ave) on October 2nd at 2:30pm. As most of you know, the Romp For Research features music, games, arts and crafts, entertainment, food, drink and fun for everyone.
Since the first Romp in 2006, we have raised over ONE MILLION DOLLARS (with virtually no expenses) to fund Down syndrome cognition research. Last year alone we raised more than $250,000 and attracted more than 1,000 people as well as thousands more virtual “Rompers” who supported us from all around the world. We expect bigger numbers this year as significant breakthroughs in Down syndrome cognition research become closer to reality!
For more information about the Romp or to find out how you can help support Down syndrome cognition research, please visit www.dsrtf.org or www.rompforresearch.com
Please share this note with anyone who might be interested in joining or supporting us (including any potential corporate sponsors).
Warm regards,
