Food Stolen from Nashua Humane Society

Sometime between noon on Monday October 27th & noon October 28 a large theft occurred at the Humane Society for Greater Nashua (NH). 280 Pounds of cat food was stolen.  This was enough to feed the cat population of this no-kill shelter for a week to 10 days.  The shelter is currently at its highest population in 2 years: 165 cats IN HOUSE, another 40+ in foster that they provide food, medication and supplies for.  On the day of this discovery an additional 16 dogs arrived at the shelter that had been transferred from Alabama.

Due to this theft there is not enough food to make it even another two days.  For this reason I have set up this fundraising site to raise money for food and supplies.

If you have or ever had a pet I ask that you consider making a donation to the shelter today.

Thank you for visiting my Personal Fundraising Page. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to any one who you think might want to donate too!

Update: Due to the shortage of food and severe overcrowding, the Humane Society of Greater Nashua announced that until November 15 they were waiving the adoption fees for all cats.  On November 1st , 8 dogs & 32 cats (including 4 that had been at the shelter for over a year!) found new homes.
