Dear Friend,

On 13 -14 May I will be participating in Mass Audubon's Bird-a-thon 2011, a 24-hour birding event during which time my Important Bird Area (IBA) Program Team will be counting as many Massachusetts bird species as possible within designated IBAs located in Plymouth and Bristol County.  This effort is to raise money to support this premiere bird conservation program, a program that oversees the 79 designated IBAs in Massachusetts that collectively support virtually all of the regularly occurring bird species found in the Commonwealth at one time of year or another. 

Birds need our help these days, and with your support the IBA Program will be able to continue effectively prioritizing, monitoring, and educating the public about the significance of these critical avian habitats all across the state.  Thanks in advance for your generous support.
