Woofstock 2010 Fundraising Page
This page is for Woofstock 2010, to benefit the Humane Society for Southwest Washington. This year Woofstock is being held at the English Estates Winery in Vancouver Washington on August 7, 2010 from 12:00pm - 3:00pm. While last years 1st Woofstock was not the attendance we were hoping for, we still considered it a success. This year, we have scaled it back a little. With a smaller venue, a stage set among the beautiful vineyards of the winery, this years Woofstock 2010 should be a wonderful way to spend an August Saturday afternoon.
A few of the changes we have made this year: You will be able to bring your leashed pet to the show. English Estate Winery will also have wine for sale by the glass. Other vendors will include a few pet oriented local businesses hand picked by Jayme Callow of the Humane Society for SW Washington, as well as food, ice cream and tasty smoothies. This is an all age show, so not only can you bring your favorite leashed dog, you can even bring the kids!!
This years show will be MC'd by me, Megan LeAnne, and my funny funny cousin Corey Howard. Corey will be coming up from Salem Oregon to help me. Thanks Corey!! Musical guests will include an awesome singer/songwriter, Andrew Norsworthy. Andrew is from Alaska, but currently resides in Portland Oregon. He has a great sound, and such an incredible way with his lyrics. He is a story teller, and so far, I love all of his stories! We will also have Caleb Roloff. Caleb is also from Portland and plays with the Portland based band "Painted Grey". Caleb has one of those voices that you can get lost in. Both Andrew and Caleb were picked out of about 75 performers to do the show for us. Also performing this year will be Uncle Buck, my actual uncle who has helped me with the show. He has been playing over 40 years. He will be playing a few songs for us to open the show. You'll like his style!! They are all donating their performances to help me raise money for the Humane Society. I am excited to watch them work our stage and make you all smile!!
Another addition this year is a videographer. Cary Ray, of Cary Ray Video Production, has graciously offered his services to Woofstock 2010. Not only will Cary be doing a video of the entire Woofstock 2010 event, he recently shot a video of me at the Humane Society to use for advertising the show. We hope to see it on local television soon, as well as all of your own websites to help us promote. Don't get to excited about the commercial. Though Cary was quite the professional with his talent with the camera's, I was not the best actress in the world. It is very apparent that I need to stay in school!!
Any support you can offer will be greatly appreciated. $1.00 to $1,000,000.00, anything helps.
Thank You All
Megan LeAnne
