It is hard to believe we have been walking and doing all the other things we have for 20+ years to continue to bring attention to this pandemic--HIV/AIDS.  The first event I remember attending had about three or four people there.  Things changed, but not without a lot of courage and hard work from many people--some still here, some gone.  I walk and try to do my part in memory of those lost and for those who need to understand that this is still a major issue for the UNITED STATES as well as the world.  I am especially concerned about the young people who come to our offices and presentations and tell us though HIV has been around their whole lives, they do not understand it and exactly how to protect themselves.  We have much work to do!
