Welcome friends of Senior Houndsabound. I am pleased to be fundraising for the seniors at Senior Houndsabound as I travel the country on my Waddle Tour. I hope to raise awareness about senior basset rescue and spotlight the extraordinary efforts of those who work tirelessly to help homeless hounds everywhere.

Since puppyhood, I have dreamed of waddling the world and raising much-needed funds for senior bassets. I've decided that 2008 is the year to do it. Will you help?

Because my caretaker has a silly thing called a J*O*B, she can't escort me on my travels, so I’m seeking kind dog-lovers who will "foster" me -- friendly families that will show a plush pup the sights of their area, take photos to share on my official travel blog at www.wendellswaddletour.com and escort me to their local rescue events. I'll be looking for kind souls to host me for sightseeing tours between waddles dates as well.

You can help and show your support for senior basset rescue in several ways:

* By applying to foster me for a waddle or sightseeing visit. Please contact me in advance at WendellWaddles@gmail.com to ensure I have an opening on my busy waddling calendar. Because this is a fundraiser, I humbly ask that all approved fosters make a donation of at least $20 as well as agree to cover my travel "fare" to my next destination (via Priority Mail or other preferred carrier -- no parcel post please as a plush pup can be lost that way).

* By joining my Fan Club and sharing in the stories and photos from my adventures. For a donation of at least $15, you can become a Lifetime Member of the Official Wendell's Waddle Tour 2008 Fan Club, receiving a handsome full-color membership certificate, a pawtographed glossy Wendell photo (suitable for framing if I do say so myself), a wallet-size membership card and an exclusive Wendell's Waddle Tour keepsake (sure to become a collector's item among fine basset crap afficionados) AND my monthly e-newsletter with photos and stories that didn't appear on my blog.
