I have been affiliated with Richmond Animal League since 1998, as a business sponsor of their annual Dog Walks, a donor, and also a volunteer.  Those who know me well know I  have been an avid dog-lover for many years, having owned five dogs at one time in an effort to rescue as many as I could. My powerful compassion for animals is why I became involved with RAL, a non-profit NO-KILL shelter located in Chesterfield County.

 

Nominated by last year's runner-up, Heidi Bassett, I am running with six other animal lovers for Richmond Animal League’s 2nd Annual “Best In Show” fundraising competition. As a "Best In Show" candidate, I hope to raise the most money and be named 2009’s “Best In Show"!  All donations are tax-deductible and go to support the ongoing mission of RAL:  Saving lives - providing hope, help, and homes for animals in need.
