Thank you for visiting my "Plunge" fundraising page. They say anyone with a little guts and a warm heart can take the "Plunge" and I am one of those folks. For the past six years we have been participating in the Polar Plunge. The first year Dwayne participated I was unable to participate because I was pregnant with Cole, Little did I know how much this event would become so much of my life. It seems that six years ago we were looking for something fun to do on a weekend afternoon and now we are part of the special olympics family. Six short years after that day out Cole is begining to take the first steps to training for the Special Olympics and I couldn't be prouder. I'm collecting pledges from family, friends, co-workers and anyone else who wants to support Special Olympics Illinois athletes. Your donations will help provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the chance to participate in sports training and competition.

To reward your generosity, I'm going to join an expected 2,000 people statewide who will voluntarily jump into freezing cold water in the middle of winter as we take part in the Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunges for Special Olympics Illinois. We always take lots of pictures and I promise to send you the evidence of my jump!!!
