SAUL AND DAYEE G. HAAS FOUNDATION

"Give Secondary Students a Chance!" annual appeal campaign All over Washington State,  Washington

wendy ross's Fundraising Page

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

Dear Friends & Family,

Thank you for visiting my personal fundraising page for the 2008 Saul & Dayee G. Haas Foundation Annual Campaign. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to my fundraising efforts.

If you are not already aware, the Haas Foundation is committed to improving the quality of life among needy secondary students in communities throughout the state of Washington, by supporting schools to encourage students to stay in school, return to school or get involved within their learning community.

Students’ immediate needs are supported though grants made to secondary schools by the foundation. Schools use this money available in a Haas Fund for use when a student can not afford an activity pass, needs new pair of running shoes or for additional school supplies.

This year’s Annual Campaign will help raise money for the Foundation’s Challenge Matching Grants – which provide up to an additional one-half of schools’ yearly grant amount, based on local fundraising efforts. The more money raised means that more students in Washington State will be supported!

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!  Your contributions will make a difference in the lives of students in Washington State.

From Toppenish High School
There was a student who was very embarrassed to come to school. This student would seldom come to school or would come in late. When the student would come, it was because a teacher would pick up the student. The student's home did not have shower or laundry facilities, and the student was not able to afford hygiene items or clothes as there were other siblings in the household. A teacher approached the Saul & Dayee Haas Foundation and asked what they would be able to do. The Saul & Dayee Haas Foundation was able to pay for hygiene material and clothes for the student. This student was then able to come to school with confidence and dignity.
