I am raising money for the Batten Family Boys & Girls Club on Hilton Head Island. I have been personally involved with the Club for the past three years and have seen the positive impact that the club has on young people. The Club is a nonprofit organization, and I  know that any help they receive is greatly appreciated and needed. 

The 7th annual Hilton Head Island Half Marathon (13.1 Miles) will be held on February 7, 2009. I will be using this event to raise money for the Boys and Girls Club of the Low Country. The event starts and finishes at Jarvis Creek Park on Hilton Head Island. I am asking that you sponsor me by commiting to either $2.00 per mile ($26) or $4.00 per mile ($52). You can, of course, give more or less but every penny counts.

Having a positive place for kids and young adults that instills in them a sense of social responsibility is very important. By sponsoring me, you will have the ability to ensure that our young people have a positive place to spend their leisure time.
