L&F Dog Rescue 14 Hour Chain-Off
Thank you for visiting my DDB fundraising page! I'm Marleen, the Founder/Director of Lost and Found Dog Rescue No-Kill Adoption Center. Did you know that since 2003 at least 312 children have been killed or maimed from chained dogs across the country? There doesn't seem to be enough "animal lovers" out there to have the power to outlaw this practice -- so my question is - how many "kid lovers" will it take to demand that no more kids are killed or maimed? The baby shown here is named Jacob, his neighbors chained dog caused him to require 90 stitches to close his wound.
It's time you contact your state representative for the sake of the children & dogs to demand that each state enacts a reasonable and responsible anti-tethering legislation.
If you care about kids or dogs, or both, as we do, I hope you'll watch our YouTube video, then forward it to everyone you know to see if we can make it go viral!
My goal is to raise $3,500 by asking my friends, our adopters, and caring humans --- to sponsor me by donating $1.00 an hour -- or as much as you think it's worth --to help the non-profit organization Mother's Against Chaining Dogs and Dogs Deserve Better to raise awareness that we must outlaw this barbaric practice.
For the 2nd time, I will be chaining myself for 14 hours over the 4th of July weekend. I assure you I will have a very, very heavy chain around my neck, I'm wearing a winter coat & hat, no food or water, just like what happens to dogs who are chained 24/7 their entire lives.
For complete details of my Chain-Off 2010 visit our website www.lnfdogs.org Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure and the funds automatically go directly to www.dogsdeservebetter.org My profound thanks for your support & this donation is tax deductible. Don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think needs to know about this & might donate too!
