To accomplish its educational and charitable purposes, East Bay Aviators, Inc. dba Motivation Through Aviation and Learning (M.A.L.T.A) advances aviation safety instruction and provides pilot proficiency training to young adults and children for the purpose of improving or developing their individual capabilities.

Additionally, volunteers and staff with East Bay Aviators, Inc. assist the Coast Guard and the Coast Guard Auxiliary's (non-law enforcement) aviation program, as either pilots, air crew members, or air observers during search and rescure operations in the San Francisco Bay Area. 

Auxiliary Pilots and Crews from East Bay Aviators, Inc. are, during an emergency call-out, available to lift off from the Hayward airfield on short notice on weekdays, and during boating season (weekends), are normally either in the air or at the airfield ready to fly.
