Please help us raise $$$ for the Ronald McDonald House of the Coastal Empire.  Our Iron Chef Challenge will be held on July 26, 2010 at the RMH on the Memorial Hospital Campus.

 

The challenge is to create a main dish, an appetizer or side dish and a dessert for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House here in Savannah, Georgia and then have it judged by the familes and a panel of judges.  The winning team gets recognition and a gift certificate for Kitchenware Outfitters.  The twist to the competition is that a secret ingredient will be revealed the day of the challenge and it is up to us to incorporate it into the meal.  The secret ingredient could be anything from cheese to fruit to vegetables and anything in between.

The Savannah Ronald McDonald House provides comfort and a place to stay for parents with critically ill or injured children. Their 10-bedroom House offers all the qualities of home--beds, showers, laundry room, and a home-cooked meal prepared each night by community volunteers with their Adopt A Meal program.  Raising funds makes it possible for families to stay regardless of their financial situation with their Share A Night program.  The House operates at nearly 100% occupancy, 365 days a year.  It costs RMHC $65 per day to provide its brand of hospitality for each family.

 

 

Suggested Donations:

 

$65 covers the cost for one family for one night at the House

$130 covers two nights for one family

$455 covers an entire week for one family

$2,015 covers an entire month for one family

 

Keep in mind that a $65 or more donation gets you a gift certificate to Kitchenware Outfitters but any amount is greatly appreciated.
