28 Farm Animals = $2000
What do you get when you give two sheep, two cows, two goats, two pigs, and 20 chickens? The satisfaction of providing new hope and lasting impact for up to 10 families in need around the world! These farm animals will bring smiles to the faces of moms and dads who will be able to feed their children and increase their family incomes, thanks to you.
"At Christmas our family watched the video that is on this page about "The Ripple Effect of Just One Goat." When we looked in the World Vision gift catalog I wanted to give 28 Farm Animals but we didn't have that much money to give at Christmas time. I decided to make a goal for this year to raise $2000 for the 28 animals.
I thought I would do this because it would help others in need and make them happy. They will be able to help their child go to school and get whatever they need. I am planning on saving some of my allowance each pay to put toward my goal. I want to have a lemonade stand and use the money I make toward my goal. I am also hoping on having a fun run or something to help raise money. I don't think I could raise all of the money myself, so it would make me very happy if you donated some money to World Vision on my page."
Thank you for visiting my fund-raising page!
Did you know...?
- Nearly 30,000 children die every day, most from hunger or preventable diseases.
- A child dies every 15 seconds due to water-related illnesses.
- More than 1 billion children suffer a lack of proper nutrition, safe drinking water, decent sanitation facilities, health-care services, shelter, education and information.
World Vision, a Christian relief and development organization, works in nearly 100 countries to help children and families tackle the causes of poverty. With the partnership of people like us, they are making a real and lasting difference for millions of people -- and that's why I wholeheartedly support their work.
When you donate to the Animal and Agriculture Fund, your gift will help the following:
Your gift will provide hardworking families with livestock or farming tools that can put food on the table and savings in their pockets. Along with the animals and farming supplies, recipients will be trained in proper care and management of their resources, as well as how to market their wares -- things like dairy products, eggs, fruits, and vegetables.
This is a wonderful way to express your support for the world's poor. Thanks for joining me in this effort.
