Hi! Thanks so much for visiting my fundraising page for my Bat Mitzvah project, Aviya's Quilts for Kids. My Bat Mitzvah is September 8, 2012. For my Bat Mitzvah project, I decided that I was going to make quilts for cardiac kids who are sick in the hospital. My brother Asher was born with a heart defect and he was in the hospital a lot when he was a baby. He received a quilt in the hospital after his first surgery. I wanted to support him and other kids that need to go through the same thing by making them quilts. These quilts are very special to me. My goal is to make at least 18 quilts. I will be bringing the quilts to the Herma Heart Center and they will be given to babies who have heart defects.
In addition, I am also raising money for the Herma Heart Center. You can make an online, tax deductable donation right here on this website. All funds will go directly to the Herma Heart Center located in Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.
I want to thank some people for helping with my project. Linda Fitzgerald and Anne Brooks who have donated a ton of awesome fabric for me to make cute quilts! Also, Sarah Packman who is making some quilts to add to my collection.
Each quilt has a little bit of joy, love, and support. Thank you so much for helping me with my Bat Mitzvah project. I really appreciate it.
Love,
Aviya
