It's that time of the year again.... Fundarising for Habitat for Humanity East Bay.

With everyone's help back in April I was able to raise $520 for Habitat EB Buildathon, helping kick off the construction of 20 affordable/low-income houses in Oakland. Ever since a group of coworkers and friends has been coming out to the site once a month on a Saturday, continuing the work we started on House #13 six months ago. The house is now complete on the exterior, with interior finish work going in later this months. (The picture to the left is from the first day of framing)

Of course the houses are not built only by our once-a-month efforts, but with the around-the-clock work of staffed Habitat people, AmeriCore volunteers, all in need of continuous support and funding.

Therefore, a group of 25 of us has commited to raise $100 each for the next time we are out on the site. Really, no pressure there. I just wanted to open up the opportunity for you to be a part of this as well. Any contribution ($1, $3, $5...The deadline is December 5th) would be greatly appreciated, I know times are tough for everyone. I assure you that all of this is going to a really great cause!
