Supporters gather to celebrate and raise funds to strengthen local farmers’ market and community revitalization project in Bed-Stuy.
 
 
NOVEMBER 13, 2010 BROOKLYN, NY The Hattie Carthan Community Farmers’ Market is hosting its first annual Hattie Carthan Market Farmy Folks Soiree featuring a feast of locally grown/produced  wines, a seasonal farm-to-table spread and local bread. The evening features local artists, farmy film shorts, a visual review of our 2010 market season and community. The Hattie Carthan Market Farmy Folks Soiree will bring together local food lovers, urban gardeners, urban farmers, food justice advocates, volunteers and neighbors to raise funds to support the market’s community revitalization work in the Central Brooklyn food dessert .  
 
The Hattie Carthan Community Farmers’ Market is a community’s effort to reclaim its agricultural heritage and contribute to the cultural, social and economic vitality of Central Brooklyn.

Farm Folks soiree Tickets are $25 and can be purchased on this site or in the market after October 16th 2010 .
 
* On November 1st 2010, a fire was set to our supplies shed . The market lost most of its equipment and supplies. Your assistance to make our project a success is needed!
