Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

After loosing my cousin on February 19, 2012, I was devistated. I visited Seattle on the 24th, where he had been living, and met his friends, colleagues, and fellow Red Cross volunteers, and I began to realize exactly how much he had done for himself, his family, friends, and community. On February 25th, 2012, I made a promise to my cousin, and myself, that I would become a better person and give back to the ones he loved the way he did.

Before all of this, I had been on the fence about joining this year's Toronto Spartan Race, and knowing myself, I probably would have waiting too long and just backed out. But first think I did when I got back from Seattle is signed up! I was going to donate to Red Cross in honor of my cousin, but I thought, why stop there? If I could raise money for this run, I would donate 100% of the money all to the Red Cross instead. I remembered that he had done something very similar for his climb of Mount Rainier, so I thought it would be a great idea to join First Giving and try and collect as much donations as possible.
