On October 12th 2008, I will be participating in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon and have dedicated the race to the memory of Sydnie Larson, a little girl very near and dear to my heart who lost her battle with cancer at the age of 5 on October 8th, 2007. Through my faith in God and the incredible support and sacrifice of my family, I will do my best to cross the finish line on Sydnie’s behalf and on the behalf of other courageous children just like her.
10/9/08 - My marathon training program has officially come to an end. Since my training began back in April, I've logged a total of 453.93 miles of running in Sydnie's honor to help make this dream a reality. My family and I plan to leave for Chicago this coming Saturday.
