My personal message:

I'm excited to let you know that this year I will be running the 11th Annual Beaches to Beacon 10k road race.  I have not participated in a 10k run in over 25 years!  So I am happy to say that the training is going well.  

I'm also excited to be running this Beaches to Beacon event as a fundraiser for STRIVE, a local nonprofit organization that serves teenagers and young adults with developmental disabilities.  STRIVE serves over 500 young people in a variety of social, educational, and employment training programs.  My goal is to raise $500 for this organization's work with these young adults (www.pslstrive.org).
