On Saturday, September 17, 2011, Gilda’s Club Delaware Valley will be hosting the second annual Alex Boyes Memorial 5k Run/Walk at Warminster Community Park, with a vendor and entertainment portion following at our neighboring Warminster clubhouse.

Alex Boyes was a committed Gilda’s Club volunteer, and even completed his Eagle Scout project here. In the fall of 2009, at the age of 22, he died from cancer.

All funds raised from the event will stay locally to support Gilda’s Club Delaware Valley in its mission to ensure that no one has to face cancer alone. Gilda’s Club provides vital social and emotional support programs at absolutely no cost to any man, woman, or child living with any cancer diagnosis – or living with a loved one’s diagnosis – in the Delaware Valley.

Day-Of Schedule

8 a.m.: Day-of registration and check-in begins

9 a.m.: 5K run, 3K walk, children's walk begins

10:15 a.m. Awards presentation and dedication ceremony
