Paws 4 Life Dog Walk
Thank You For Supporting the Gilda’s Club Delaware Valley “Paws 4 Life” Dog Walk!
Welcome to the 2011 “Paws 4 Life” Dog Walk Firstgiving page. With Firstgiving, you can (1) set up an individual fundraising page to support Gilda’s Club and the Dog Walk, or (2) form a team and set up individual fundraising pages to work toward a team fundraising goal.
How does it work?
With Firstgiving, you can create a free fundraising page, set your personal fundraising goal, and ask family and friends to support you in supporting Gilda's Club Delaware Valley and men, women, and children affected by cancer.
To create your fundraising page, please click on the "Join Now" button. If this is your first time using Firstgiving, you'll be asked for some basic registration information. If you already have a Firstgiving account, you’ll be asked to log in.
You’ll then be given the option to join or create a team. If you’re interested in walking and fundraising with friends and family, have one member of your group create a team. Everyone else can then opt to join the team during the registration process. Because teams receive a special prize at the Dog Walk, we ask that teams raise an average of $25 a person and that there be at least four members to a team. (Please note that this is a fundraising goal and is separate from the Dog Walk’s “per leash” registration fee. You can register your dog online at http://gildasclubdelval.org/dog-walk-form/)
Setting up your fundraising page: Once you decide whether or not to join/create a team, you’ll be taken to your personal fundraising page. The page has generic text and photos, but you can customize it to share why you are supporting Gilda’s Club and why you hope people will support you in doing so!
Your page has its own web address, which you can e-mail to friends and family to ask for support. You can also share the link through Facebook or other social networking sites.
Again, thank you so much for considering fundraising for the “Paws 4 Life” Dog Walk! Your assistance in helping Gilda’s Club meet its fundraising goals – and keep its Red Door open – is always invaluable, and never more so in this economy. We really appreciate it!
