Walk for Hope

Join Gilda's Club at Warminster Community Park for our first annual Walk for Hope! It is absolutely free to participate, and we hope you'll join us as we come together as a Gilda's Club community to remember those we've lost to cancer, honor those living with the disease, and celebrate the many survivors among us.

About the Walk

When: Sunday, June 10

Where: Warminster Community Park (300 Veterans Way, Warminster)

Times:

Check-in begins at 1 p.m.

Walk begins at 2 p.m.

Join us immediately afterward at Gilda's Club (next to the park) for our Anniversary Event!

Register: While there is no cost to participate, we'd appreciate it if you could complete the registration form at http://gildasclubdelval.org/walk-for-hope so we know how many people to expect and can make sure we have enough refreshments!

Fundraise

If you'd like to further support the Walk for Hope and Gilda's Club, consider using Firstgiving to create a fundraising page. You can share your story; set a fundraising goal; and ask friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and others to support you.

Form a Team: Fundraisers can also form an official team on Firstgiving. Walk in honor or memory of a loved one, as the "Anti-Cancer Crusaders", or any other name of your choice.

Fundraise Without Firstgiving: If online fundraising isn't your thing, but you'd still like to support the Walk for Hope and Gilda's Club, you can download our fundraising form here, collect donations, and turn them in to Gilda's Club either in advance of or at the Walk for Hope.

Prizes: Gilda's Club will be awarding the following prizes to fundraisers:

For Those Fundraising Individually*

$25 Level -- Complimentary Butterfly (in honor or memory of a loved one) on the Gilda's Club Butterfly Wall.

$150 Level -- Small Brick (in honor or memory of a loved one) in the Gilda's Club brick garden.

$250 Level -- Complimentary sign along walk path (in honor or memory of a loved one or featuring inspirational saying). Level must be reached and message given prior to May 16 to ensure sign can be made in time for event.

$300 Level -- Medium Brick in the Gilda's Club brick garden.

$500 Level -- Large Brick in the Gilda's Club brick garden.

*With the exception of the bricks, all prizes are cumulative.

For Those Fundraising as a Team

The individual prizes listed above will be awarded to each team member when the team's total amount raised equals the individual level list multipled by the number of team members. (So, if a team of a 10 people has raised $1,500 in total, even if only one member raised the funds, everyone gets a brick.)
