Who is Girlfriend?

You see her picture to the left. Girlfriend (GFRND) is a 2008 Shelby GT 500, modified to 700HP. I own GFRND (well - take care of her)

My Mom, Beverly Bennett, died of Ovarian Cancer 2 years ago.  Her Sister, Claire Tiling, my lovely Aunt, who we thought was a Breast Cancer survivor, died a month ago. 

Along with GFRND – my mission in life is to raise money to cure ovarian and breast cancer and to help provide services for those victimized by these horrible diseases.

The names on the side of GFRND are the names of women who are victims of ovarian, breast or colon cancer.  Some are survivors, some are not.  All are brave Warriors.

Each year I orgainze and chair, "Mom's  Warriors In Pink Car Show & Health Fair" to raise money for breast and ovarian cancer organizations.

This year the event will be held on April 18, 2009.

Proceeds from the show and any donations collected that day will go to: FORCE: Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Have a car you want to show off? The show is open to all makes of cars, trucks, street rods, motorcycles and unique street legal vehicles. Registration is $20 and is open from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Just want to check it out?? Meet Girlfriend? There will be music, barbecue, 50/50 and a raffle with a chance to win a trip to Universal Studios. Come down any time.
