Are you a roller coaster fanatic? If so, this is the event for you!
Cedar Fair Entertainment Company's best loved theme parks are partnering with Give Kids The World to host the 5th Annual Coasting For Kids fundraiser. Here's your chance to have fun marathon riding a signature thrill ride while making a difference in the lives of children with life-threatening illnesses!
Register here and get ready for a day of fun and thrills at California's Great America!
Registration time and location: 9 – 9:50 a.m.
Complimentary parking available to participants only during registration time
Event time: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Marathon will take place on:
Flight Deck and Vortex
The participants will be divided into two groups, with each riding one coaster for four hours and then switching to the other coaster for four hours
Additional itinerary details:
At this time, only minimal reserved seating has been secured. It is possible that participants may have to rotate amongst themselves during the event.
Meal time and location: 2:30 p.m. at the Picnic Plaza
Awards ceremony time and location: 2:30 p.m. at the Picnic Plaza
Regular park operating hours: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Prizes: 1st place: Four 2013 California’s Great America general admission tickets, four Backyard BBQ vouchers and a Peanuts prize package
2nd place: Four 2013 California’s Great America general admission tickets
3rd place: Give Kids The World gift basket
All participants will be required to pay a $25 registration fee up front and raise a minimum of $75 in order to participate. There currently is no maximum number of participants for this event.
