The 33rd Annual Blue Cross Broad Street Run

I have been fortunate enough to spend time and volunteer at Give Kids the World (GKTW) in Orlando. Like so many people from IHG who had done the same before me, I got to experience first hand just how special this organization is. However, what will always stand out are the truly amazing children and their families, that I had a chance to meet. Despite facing severe mental, emotional, and physical obstacles, (and in some cases, potentially fatal), these children had the most truly upbeat dispositions and positive outlook on life. As sorrowful as something like this could have been, it actually had the opposite effect on me: I left GKTW feeling uplifted and motivated.

May 6, 2012 is the Blue Cross Broad Street (10 mile) run through my hometown of Philadelphia. This is a special event for me, and I want to make it even more meaningful. That is why I am using this as an avenue to raise money for GKTW. The money raised from this event will be given to GKTW in one lump sum.

My goal is to raise $10,000.

Please help me in reaching this goal and touching the lives of all the children that this wonderful charity accommodates. The race is on May 6, and this page will be closed to donations as of the close of business on Monday, April 30. So please, begin your fundraising efforts now, and be sure to donate by April 30.
