I raised the target to $1000 because of how quick some of you responded. Thanks so much!!! Now the goal is 1 goat for every 2 miles of running. I hope we can do this!!
As part of Rockstar Runners one of our goals is to "Contribute" through our running. This race will be my first one teaming up with World Vision and I'm very excited at the possibilities! My goal for the Missoula Marathon is to raise enough money to provide at least 4 goats to families that are in need. Why goats? A goat nourishes a family with fresh milk, cheese, and yogurt, and can offer a much-needed income boost by providing offspring and extra dairy products for sale at the market. It even provides fertilizer that can dramatically increase crop yields. And for those of you who read my blog you know how interested I am in using compost as fertilizer.
