In 2008/2009 Golf Fore Africa is committed to raise $518,000 to help children and their families in Africa that have been affected by the HIV and AIDS crisis. You can join us as we embark on 2 new projects in Africa. The first project is building a medical clinic in Rwanda that will provide basic health care and distribute ARV drugs to help those suffering with AIDS.  The second project, in Lesotho, Africa, is building for children who have been orphaned or made vulnerable by AIDS. The AIDS pandemic has robbed millions of children of their parents — and their homes, because they can’t afford housing. Your gift will help construct homes to replace broken-down shacks like the one shown here, providing shelter, security, and hope for a family.  

Golf Fore Africa began as an member charity initiative of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) with the goal to provide care and support for one African community in Rwanda. In 2007/2008 LPGA players, fans and fellow golfers raised over $250,000.00 to help the community of Mudasomwa, Rwanda.
