The Houston Ride for Kids event is an annual motorcycle ride open to all manufacturer's brands to raise money for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.

The 2006 ride date is Sunday, April 30th at the Pasadena Convention Center and Fairgrounds (the event is held rain or shine). I became involved with the Houston Ride for Kids starting in 2000 and worked to be named the top fundraiser in 2002.  In 2005 my best friend Bill Wynn (a previous top fundraiser as well) suffered a tragic heart attack and past away weeks before the event.  Thanks to the generous support of those that knew the importance of the Ride for Kids to Bill, we were able to secure enough donations in Bill Wynn's name to make him the top Houston Ride for Kids individual fundraiser for 2005.  My goal is to make him the top fundraiser again this year and I know that we can do it with your help.

Although the Pediatric Brain Tumor has made incredible progress in fighting this terrible disease through research grants, training, public information and parent/family support, there is still lots of work left to do. Brain tumors continue to be the # 1 Killer of children under the age of 12.  As a father to two children myself, I hope I never have to endure what the parents of children diagnosed with pediatric brain tumors go through so I've made it my goal to do everything possible to aid in the fight.
