Welcome to the Haas Foundation Annual Campaign. Our theme this year is "A Key to Keeping Students in School." According to the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, over 18,000 students drop-out of school each year in Washington state. Our mission at the Haas Foundation is "... to encourage students to stay in school, return to school or get involved within their learning community."

A student we funded last school year began high school living with an elderly grandmother and working part-time to help make ends meet. She finished her freshman year with a 1.6 GPA. Although she wanted to get involved in student government and cheer squad, she did not have the resources for the required fees. She opted not to get involved. In her sophomore year, when the counselor found out about her need, Haas Funds were used to pay the activity fees. The student ran for office (won), joined the cheer squad and doubled her academic efforts increasing her grade to a 3.6 GPA. When students are given the opportunity to get positively involved, good things happen.

As a campaigner, you can create your own campaign page to reach out to others and track progress towards your goal. You set your goal and decide whom to contact. With FIRSTGIVING, the possibilities are endless. Key volunteers and staff are available to offer a tutorial or to coach you on how to set up your firstgiving page. They are also available to meet a prospective donor with you. Once you sign up and register, a member of our volunteer team will connect with you.
