MISSION STATEMENT:
Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County Florida, Inc., in partnership with God, mobilizes people to help neighbors by renovating and building homes, thereby improving and transforming families and communities.
About Habitat Hillsborough:
Established in 1987, Habitat Hillsborough has served hundreds of low-income adults and children across the Bay area. Our affordable, eco-friendly homes are sold at no profit, with zero-interest mortgages. In addition to low-income families, Habitat for Humanity serves 2,000 individuals annually by providing enriching volunteer opportunities in which community and friendships are formed.
Homeownership: Families are selected based on their need (living in substandard housing), willingness to partner (“sweat equity” ) and ability to pay (monthly mortgage payments build future homes). Homes are sold at no profit, with 0% interest loans!
