The Home Builders Blitz is a national partnership between Habitat for Humanity and the building industry to construct houses across multiple cities in a single week - making the dream of homeownership a reality for hundreds of low-income families in need of decent, affordable housing. 

Over the past four years, Habitat for Humanity of Omaha and its Builders Blitz partners have transformed 4 neighborhoods and given 17 families the opportunity to become homeowners through this project.

Building partners have a goal to build the home at zero cost to Habitat by donating their time and expertise and seeking donations of construction materials, subcontractor work and assisting with fundraising efforts.

Our building partners will say the most impactful aspect of participating in the Builder’s Blitz is the opportunity to work side by side with the Habitat Family Partner that will be purchasing the home.  The relationship is so much more than builder/home buyer.  The Blitz truly transforms lives.
