This year Habitat for Humanity of Omaha is a special event sponsor for the 2011 Jimmy & Rosalyn Carter Work Project in Haiti. We have a rare opportunity to send five people from Omaha to help build homes in Haiti during this week-long blitz build.

The project will take place November 6-12, 2011 at Leogane, a coastal city in western Haiti and close to the epicenter of the 2010 Earthquake. Nearly 90 percent of the buildings were damaged or destroyed and tens of thousands of people left homeless or displaced.

Approximately 400 international volunteers will build 100 Habitat “core homes” during this life changing week. 

We hope you will help support this effort so we can make as big of an impact as possible. The need is so great.
