Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
When I was young I felt the call to work in ministry. It took me a while to figure out just what kind of ministry I should work in. This past year God has given me clear direction. The doors opened up for me to work with Silent Blessings as their Ministry Assistant for the next 2 years. While working with Silent Blessings I will also be attending Anderson University as a full time student. One of my primary roles will be to recruit and connect college students from AU to work with Silent Blessings. There is a link to Silent Blessing's website below my picture on the lefthand side of the screen. Silent Blessings is a nonprofit organization. The heart of the ministry is geared towards d/Deaf children. We have a TV program that is aired all over the world called "Dr. Wonder's Workshop" with all Deaf actors. We have voice over actors, music, sound affects, etc, to appeal to not only d/Deaf children, but also hearing children.
The work that Silent Blessings does is much like the work of missionaries. Missionaries minister to people from other countries and cultures. Silent Blessings ministers to those that consider themselves part of Deaf culture. Like most missionaries I have to raise my own funds from people who know and support what I do.
I have been lucky enough to volunteer with Silent Blessings on numerous occassions over the past 2 years. I have worked with filming, sounds affects, and also as an assistant director for Ameslan kids. Because the ministry is small, we don't have a budget to hire an extra person (me), but there is so much work that needs to be done. I am currently only able to work a few hours a week. My goal is to work as many hours as possible with Silent Blessings. That can be possible with financial gifts from people like you.
As a Sign Language Interpreter my heart belongs to the Deaf community. I fully support the ministry of Silent Blessings and want to offer my gifts to help the ministry flourish.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. Your generosity will enable me to pursue my passion and ministry. All gifts are greatly appriciated. However, what I really need are friends and family who are willing to give on a monthly basis. You can either send money via this website or write a check to Silent Blessings. All donations are tax deductable.
Your gift of support in my work with Silent Blessings will help spread the Word of God and the love of Christ to Deaf Children all over.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
