Hi everyone it's me Hannah! Thank you for visiting my fundraising web-page. I am fundraising for Camp Taylor. Camp Taylor is a kids heart camp. It is specially designed for children with heart defects & diseases. Hopefully my family and I will be able to attend Family Camp this June.

Let me tell you a little about myself.  My name is Hannah and I am 4 years old. I was born with a Congenital Heart Defect.  I was diagnosed with Aortic Stenosis as a result of a bicuspid aortic valve. When I was 3 weeks old I underwent a cardiac catheterization procedure called valvuloplasty. Thanks to the amazing doctors up at Stanford I have not had to undergo any repeat surgeries as expected. I do continue to receive follow up medical treatment at Children's Hospital Central California because my condition can worsen over time. I have been blessed with excellent doctors that take great care of me and my family. Thank you Dr. Fraley & Dr. Rouillard.

Now let me tell you about CAMP TAYLOR. As said before, Camp Taylor is a FREE camp for children with CHD's and their families.  It offers an opportunity for young people and their families to meet other people with similar medical conditions and experiences.

Camp Taylor is in its seventh year of operation. It has several different programs available for all ages; youth camp, teen camp & family camp. Camp Taylor is expanding with more camps now available in California and Hawaii. Please visit the Camp Taylor website (www.kidsheartcamp.org) to learn more about their wonderful program. Here is some food for thought. Did you know that CHD's are the most common birth defect? Out of 1,000 births, 8 babies will have some form of CHD. Approximately 40,000 babies are born with a CHD each year. Estimates suggest that nearly 1,000,000 Americans have a CHD, including my Uncle Andrew who would have benefited greatly from a program like Camp Taylor.

We know that with the economic crunch everyone is feeling a pinch, especially programs like Camp Taylor. Please help keep programs like this alive and donate; even the smallest donations can make a difference.
