Picture your typical schedule for a week, and then imagine doing these same activities while caring for a loved one with intellectual disability who requires your constant, undivided attention and assistance. Exhausting, isn't it? For those families who cope with this challenge day in and day out, the strength and energy required to face each day is almost unimaginable.
Thankfully, HARC offers hope, restoration, and help to these families through its Respite Care Program. Since HARC believes that one size does not fit all, respite care is individually tailored to the specific needs of each family. Relief may come in the form of in-home assistance, organized family retreats, weekend camping, or a Saturday day program specializing in cognitive and therapeutic activities.
So, come out on Sunday, May 17th and join us in offering hope and help to families in need! You won't regret it.
