Dear Friends and Supporters of Frank,

Please consider joining us in supporting Frank and the Autism Center of Tulsa (ACT) for the 3rd annual Ready, Set, Run to be held May 9, 2009 at Hunter Park.   All proceeds benefit the ACT - a wonderful resource to our community that helps families and individuals affected by autism in many ways.  They have an office with a parent workroom and resource library as well as sponsoring workshops, family fun nights and other awareness-raising events in the community.   We have personally benefitted from their services and would like to ensure they continue to have the funding they need to continue their vital programs.

Frank is now 8 years old and in the 3rd grade at Bixby North Elementary school.  We are so proud of the progress he is making every day as he works very hard to overcome all of the challenges he faces becasue of autism.   Frank loves going to school and has many wonderful friends and teachers who love and support him there.  He is becoming more comfortable in a variety of community settings and attends two different social skills groups weekly.  I like to say that Frank has to work 10x harder than the rest of us to achieve 1/10 of what comes easily for the rest of us.   He is our inspiration!
