At this time of Thanksgiving, when most Americans will be enjoying the feast of the year, there are starving children in the world who are dying.

After seeing this image, and reading the accompanying story that went with it about the starvation that is currently going on in Haiti, I felt that I should do something.  Storms have wiped out the food supply for rural Haitians, and getting aid to them is a difficult task.

I looked into charities to see where it would be best to donate to help the poor in rural Haiti, and I've decided I like the St. Boniface Haiti Foundation, which has been helping the poor in rural Haiti for 25 years with an out-back hospital, education programs, and community development initiatives.  Because of the storms that have caused loss of food crops, flooding, and severe road damage, St. Boniface Haiti Foundation is in dire need of emergency aid so they can fix the roads and get food and healthcare to the people who need it most.

Please take a few minutes to read about the stories linked above and then donate to help the St. Boniface Haiti Foundation in their efforts.  It would also be great to help Doctors without Borders in Haiti.
