Henry Vilas Zoo, located in Madison, Wisconsin, is free to the public, open year-round and supported by the Henry Vilas Zoological Society and Dane County.  The Henry Vilas Zoo is located near Lake Wingra and the UW Arboretum.

Conserve and protect the wonders of the living natural world.  Help build understanding between people and animals by promoting conservation and providing a high quality recreational and educational experience to our visitors.

HENRY VILAS PARK ZOOLOGICAL SOCIETY MISSION STATEMENT

The purspose of the HVPZS is to support the HVZ and its efforts to:

• Provide education about the natural world
• Promote conservation of animals and their habitat
• Enhance recreation and foster community pride
• Continually improve animal exhibits
• Continue to conserve natural resources 
• Raise and accept funds to accomplish these endeavors
